Brothers and sisters, this article aims to point towards God’s amazing love and glorify Him.
Under the caste system of the Hindu religion, Dalits are considered untouchable for their assigned dirtiest occupation. They are prohibited from engaging in any physical contact with the members of another caste in society. The Dalit word means “oppressed, demoralised.” This system has affected communities to an extent that cows are respected than a Dalit. The caste system was outlawed in 1949, but not from the hearts and minds of people.
The knowledge of Christ is more important than social status, as Paul indicates in Philippians 3:8. It is the knowledge of being His child and experiencing His love. I cannot claim to have left family and home to follow God, because I have received a hundredfold, as stated in Matthew 19:29. You all are part of the hundredfold who have played a role in God’s ultimate plan.
Now that I know God is faithful in providence, I am called to share His faithfulness. Therefore, God has encouraged the URCNA Church in Toronto, Canada, that seeks my assistance to work among Indian communities for six months. Thereafter, the church will decide to give a call. I am convinced to follow the path that God is leading. So, I will depart for India DV on October 16th to support a new ministry and visit family, meanwhile awaiting a Canadian work visa.
